Endurance Cross Country Camp will feature high quality training and racing insights for high school middle distance and long distance runners. It is designed to spark growth physically, mentally, and spiritually and teaching subjects will include nutrition, injury prevention, racing technique, and training knowledge to help athletes achieve more than ever. You will be pushed!
The camp is based at Snow Mountain Ranch, outside Winter Park. You will sleep and train high (9100 ft elevation), run together, hike a 14er, study training, engage spiritual discussions, challenge yourself on high and low ropes courses, learn from experienced athletes and coaches, and have a great time running fast!
Our instructors include:
Joshua Coon – Head Cross Country Coach at Colorado Christian University. He holds a B.A. in Exercise Science, an M.A. in Counseling and is almost finished with PhD coursework in Exercise Science and Sports Psychology.
Lee Datesman – Head Cross-Country coach at New Braunfels High School in New Braunfels, Texas. The New Braunfels Women’s team placed 14th in the 2013 Nike Cross-Country Nationals. In 2014, he coached the second place finisher at the Nike Cross-Country Nationals. http://gounicorns.com/New/category/cross-country/
Ryan Poland - A former Colorado State High School Champion and Foot Locker Finalist (28th), Ryan finished 56th in the World Junior Cross Country Championships in 2011. Ryan currently runs for the University of Portland Pilots, finishing 3rd at D1 Nationals in 2014. He holds pr's in the mile of 4:03, 3k in 8:00, and 10k in 29:30. He brings a wealth of training and racing experience to the our camp and knows what it takes to compete high levels.
