Landon Summer’s Cross Country Camp is designed to educate young runners on the physiological, psychological, biomechanical, and tactical aspects of cross-country running. Our goal is for campers to become more knowledgeable of and more enthusiastic for the sport of cross country. This camp, combined with training through the rest of the summer, should bring a successful fall cross-country experience for each participant.
Coach Bio: Addison Hunt specializes in teaching two things: math and running. In addition to teaching pre-algebra and algebra I, Hunt coaches the Landon Middle School and varsity outdoor track and field team and the varsity cross country team. He also restarted the indoor track program. Hunt, in his 12th year at Landon, ran varsity track and field at the Mercersburg Academy and Virginia Tech University, where he received a bachelor’s degree. At the Field School in Washington, D.C., he earned more than 20 P.V.A.C. championships and coach of the year honors. He has been named All-Gazette coach of the year in both indoor and outdoor track and field.
