The X-Treme Running Camp experience is something fantastic and unique. The Camp takes full advantage of Lodestar Parks superb training venues.

The Camp caters to middle and high school runners but younger kids with a love of the sport often also attend. We welcomes runners of all abilities as well as athletes involved in other sports looking to improve their endurance, speed and overall fitness.

Camp runs from 9 am to noon, and each day includes and endurance session, a speed session (in each kids are grouped according to their ability) plus a highly-acclaimed guest speaker. Our Camp is directed by elite distance running husband and wife team Guy and Laurie Gordon. All counselors are seasoned adult runners.

X-Treme Running Camp addresses: goal setting, motivation, visualization, form analysis and biomechanics, team building, training strategies and ways to think “outside the box“ with your training, injury prevention, overall-core and body strength building, racing techniques, and the power of believing in yourself and striving to reach your potential. Specials during the week include: The X-Treme Relay, The X-Treme 5K, The Impromptu Relay and the trademark “X-Treme Run Around” drill.

Could have been better, but was not bad at all. I had a good time, and the terrain was great to practice on (very hilly), but there was no push for pace. The guest speakers were excellent. I recumbent this camp to local runners who look to build new muscles. However, if not a mentally strong enough person to push the pace yourself, do not do this camp a lone. Try to find someone to work off of. Since my coach was not there, I didn't feel as much into pushing myself to succeed. Very nice crew of counselors, good drills, excellent speaker, nice place to run, but not much pressure on the practice runs pace wise.

This Camp was amazing. My daughter got so much out of it, made new friends from all over the area and they way they design the Camp, she both worked hard and had fun. The drills are great and guest speakers phenomenal.
