What should you bring to camp?

By: Joe Mizereck

The youth running camp season is coming quick. If you haven’t found a summer cross country running camp yet, this is the place to find one. There are several hundred college running camps and private running camps available. If you have your running camp selected, you are probably counting the days until you can get on the road. So, the big question is always: what should I take? Be sure to check the running camp literature for suggestions/requirements from the camp staff. However, in most cases you will do fine if you pack up the following items:

Extra things might include an iPod, mp3 player and cell phone (if they let you), board games, journals and diaries. Most important, don’t forget to pack your enthusiasm and readiness to have some fun while becoming a stronger and smarter runner. Have fun at your running camp getting those summer miles in with your friends, new and old.
